Rugby For All
Westbury-On-Severn are the epitome of a local club with a kind-hearted community. Currently we are in the district league of North Gloucestershire. After having a very successful season last year and finishing second we have moved up a league as we always strive for the best we can be. Our aims with Westbury are to be playing in the fully structured RFU leagues once again. The quality in our team has no bounds we have a range of ages and experience which all contribute to the team we have. Westbury on Severn is located on the outer section of the Forest of Dean and just outside Minsterworth on the other side. We are just off the A48, easily accessible and in a safe and welcoming area.
Training:
As always our games will be played on a Saturday afternoon. However, training will take place every Tuesday evening meet at 6:45 pm for a 7 pm start. In training we work on a variety of things based on the times of year. For example, from June to start of season we’ll be working on pre season fitness and will slowly add the element of rugby skills and moves in there as we reach the season. During the season, we focus on team shapes and other skills to help individuals who are struggling.
Fees:
Our fees are fairly straightforward and very cost effective if your looking to play for us down at Westbury:
£35 membership for the season
£10 a month direct debit year round
Our reason for a direct debit is so players do not have to pay every Saturday and can just drink there well deserved post match beer! Also it is because with £10 a month during the whole season you’ll only be paying the equivalent of two rugby matches.
